How Would I Work With A Virtual Assistant?

Lets have a think about this - how will virtual assistance fit in with you and your business? Here are some questions you need to ask yourself, after all I will explore this with you when we talk anyway:

Business Types

VAs support many kinds of businesses. I haven't come across a business yet that cannot be supported virtually. It really doesn't matter what industry you are in and it doesn't matter where you work. At present there are Virtual Assistants who work in the literary, entertainment, investment, insurance, property, education, new media, internet, catering, direct selling industries, non-profit, graphics, information technology, finance, and coaching industries to name a few.

Business Structure

Whether sole trader, limited company, outsourced consultant, company executive, small company, large company, new business, mobile executive, or even an all-round entrepreneur a Virtual Assistant can help you to build and grow your business.

Can Virtual Assistance Work For You?

Not wishing to be negative but there are so many pluses to working with a VA that it is easier here to identify when virtual assistance might not suit:

  • If you do not have a computer or have limited internet knowledge and no interest or plans to grow in this area then it would be difficult to work with someone virtually
  • If you need to physically oversee work being done and feel adamantly that work has to be done your way, then an assistant working virtually would most probably leave you feeling very uncomfortable.
  • If you find it hard to envisage a Virtual Assistant as an equal who provides a service and/or someone who could have valid ideas that could help improve your business then a virtual partnership would not reap benefits.
